PhotoStory: In the Classroom and BeyondFacilitated by Shirley GarrettSo you want to find another way to use those photos you take or the PowerPoints you make throughout the year? How about making them into a video. Oh, but you don’t want to have to learn some expensive, hard program? Then, PhotoStory is the program for you! Not only is it free and easy, but it’s quick! In this PhotoStory workshop, you will learn how to import pictures, add narration, add titles, make transitions, add music, and save it all in video format. Most importantly, you will also get several ideas on how PhotoStory can be used your classroom and beyond! By the end of this workshop, you will be well on your way to making a video to use in your classroom or thinking of great video projects for your students to make!

(Beginner Level- 8:15-11:15 on October 5th and February 14th)

Objectives:

  • To download PhotoStory 3, a free software, onto computer.
  • To convert a PowerPoint to make useable files.
  • To learn how to import pictures, to add narration, titles, motion, transitions, and music, and to finalize everything into a video utilizing PhotoStory 3.
  • To create a video for the classroom using PhotoStory 3.
  • To brainstorm ideas on how to use PhotoStory 3 in the classroom and beyond.
